The following services are currently available to public and private sector clients, individuals and community organisations.
Consultancy
Fast turnaround of cost effective reports on individual and small groups of buildings (e.g. residential, offices, care homes, day centres and schools).
Surveys and recommendations relating to proposed renewable energy installations, energy efficiency improvements and sustainable building projects.
Service available to:
- Individual householders
- Local Authorities
- Community Groups
- Small and medium sized enterprises (e.g. offices and shops)
Project management
Management of refurbishment projects involving sustainable materials and methods. Project values £5,000 - £75,000.
Management of renewable energy installations: Approximate maximum value £100,000.
Energy efficiency improvements and minor 'Green' building works
Insulation, draught-proofing, lighting improvements and water conservation works. 'Green' building works including the use of sustainable building materials and methods. Maximum contract value approximately £25,000 in any one contract.
Domestic surveys, advice and project management
These services are available for basic energy efficiency, sustainable building and renewable energy. Services are chargeable on a sliding scale of £40, £50 and £65 per hour plus VAT, based on the client's assessment of his/her ability to pay.
Non-domestic surveys, advice and project management
Services are charged at £50 per hour plus VAT for community organisations and £65 per hour plus VAT for businesses.
Training
A wide range of training is available, from 2-hour 'taster' courses to 3-day detailed 'hands-on' sessions. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units are also available, for full or half-days.

Demonstration
Guided tours and technical explanations of SYEC's sustainable buildings and renewable energy installations. Suitable for individuals and organisations.
